Back in February of 2007 I went on a small tour to the West Coast of the USA with a group of 10 fellow Arabian horse lovers. We were travelling to the world famous Scottsdale All Arabian show, a ten day event held in the city of, yes, Scottsdale. Truly an amazing experience. We had a great tour guide with us who put together a 20 day trip through California, Arizona, San Diego with a hop to Mexico and then back to Los Angeles. 

I took a couple of thousand images - aren't digital cameras the best - and I've been going through those, cleaning a few up and playing with them in Photoshop. I'm calling it an Aussie's trip to the west coast of the USA.

I've just uploaded a couple of pieces into the West Coast USA gallery, of the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal City which is just outside the gates of Universal Studios in Hollywood, Los Angeles. We visited there on our second day in the country. It was such a thrill to tour the backlots of the studio and jump on endless rides. To finish the day we went to Universal City to shop and later to have dinner. I bought my Hard Rock zip up hoodie at this store. We did dine at other Hard Rock's in the time we were in the States, but this was the first one.

What could be a better accompaniment to these images than a little Carole King, singing, yep, you guessed it, Hard Rock Cafe. Enjoy.
